The Island

Embudu Village is arguably the best loved resort in the Kaimoo chain. Just ask the guests. Some of them are on their sixteenth visit! There are many reasons why people keep coming back. The homely atmosphere, genuinely kind staff, and abundance of island vegetation, to name only a few.

Accomodation

16 air-conditioned water bungalows are built above the north shore reef. These offer superior accommodation and feature glass floor panels through which you can gaze at fish without even getting your feet wet! Dotted around the rest of the island are 72 superior and 36 standard rooms. All are comfortably furnished and have a relaxing veranda facing the sea.

Diving

Diverland runs the dive school at Embudu. Its owner Wolfgang has over 13 years of diving experience. Together with base leader Janosc and other instructors, he leads memorable dives to popular sites such as Embudu Express and Embudu Canyon, along with other countless underwater wonders which should not be missed. For learners they offer a range of PADI diving courses.

Activities

On top of the quality diving and snorkeling, there are of course other activities to keep guests entertained. Water sports include windsurfing, water skiing, canoeing and catamaran sailing. Excursions to neighboring atolls leave daily, and for the stay-at-homes there’s always volleyball, badminton, table tennis, and indoor games. Discos with a local DJ happen once a week on the bar’s dance floor. Next to the bar, you can take in the sunsets from a wooden deck constructed over the water, with a chilled glass of beer at your side. Buffet meals are served three times a day in the restaurant and there is a weekly lobster supper in the garden for those guests who feel like dining under the stars.
